Arabic (Original)
1537 صحيح حديث ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: لاَ يَنْبَغِي لِعَبْدٍ أَنْ يَقُولَ أَنَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ مَتَّى وَنَسَبَهُ إِلَى أَبيهِ
English Translation
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "The worst food is the food of a feast to which the rich are invited and from which the poor are excluded. Whoever does not attend the invitation has disobeyed Allah and His Messenger."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ”کسی شخص کے لیے مناسب نہیں کہ مجھے یونس بن متی سے بہتر قرار دے۔“آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے ان کے والد کی طرف منسوب کر کے ان کا نام لیا تھا۔[اللؤلؤ والمرجان/كتاب الفضائل/حدیث: 1537]
