حَدَّثَنَامُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ: ثَنَاعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، قَالَ: ثَنَاعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ، عَنْعَبَّادِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِالزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْسَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْعَتَّابِ بْنِ أُسَيْدٍرَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَبَعَثَهُ وَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يُخْرَصَ الْعِنَبَ كَمَا يُخْرَصُ النَّخْلَ، وَأَنْ يَأْخُذَ زَكَاةَ الْعِنَبِ زَبِيبًا كَمَا يَأْخُذُ زَكَاةَ النَّخْلِ تَمْرًا".
English Translation
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The upper hand (the giving hand) is better than the lower hand (the receiving hand). Start with those you are responsible for. The best charity is that which is given when one is self-sufficient. Whoever seeks to be chaste, Allah will make him chaste, and whoever seeks self-sufficiency, Allah will make him self-sufficient."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا عتاب بن اسید رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے انہیں حکم دیا کہ وہ انگوروں کا اندازہ کھجوروں کی طرح لگائیں اور انگوروں کی زکاة منقیٰ (خشک انگور) کی صورت میں لیں، جیسے کھجوروں کی زکاة خشک کھجوروں کی صورت میں لی جاتی ہے۔[المنتقى ابن الجارود/كتاب الزكاة/حدیث: 351]
