أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْبَرَاءَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ رَجُلًا كَانَ يَقْرَأُ سُورَةَ الْكَهْفِ وَدَابَّتُهُ مُوثَقَةٌ فَجَعَلَتْ تَنْفِرُ تَرَى مِثْلَ الضَّبَابَةِ أَوِ الْغَمَامَةِ قَدْ غَشِيَتْهُ فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَقَالَ «اقْرَأْ يَا فُلَانُ تِلْكَ السَّكِينَةُ أُنْزِلَتْ عِنْدَ الْقُرْآنِ أَوْ لِلْقُرْآنِ»
English Translation
Ahmad bin Ali bin al-Muthanna narrated to us, Muhammad bin Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us from al-Hakam from Dharr from Sa'id bin Abd al-Rahman bin Abza from his father that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to say in the witr prayer: 'Glory be to the Holy King' - three times - raising his voice with the third one.
