أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ أَبُو عَمْرٍو بِنَسَا قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ زَنْجُوَيْهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَاضِرُ بْنُ الْمُوَرِّعِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَا جَلَسَ قَوْمٌ فِي مَسْجِدٍ مِنْ مَسَاجِدِ اللَّهِ يَتْلُونَ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ وَيَتَدَارَسُونَهُ بَيْنَهُمْ إِلَّا نَزَلَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّكِينَةُ وَغَشِيَتْهُمُ الرَّحْمَةُ وَحَفَّتْهُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَذَكَرَهُمُ اللَّهُ فِيمَنْ عِنْدَهُ وَمَنْ أَبْطَأَ بِهِ عَمَلُهُ لَمْ يُسْرِعْ بِهِ نَسَبُهُ»
English Translation
Ahmad bin Ali bin al-Muthanna narrated to us, Affan narrated to us, Hammad bin Salamah narrated to us from Ayyub from Muhammad from Abu Hurayra that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'The angels continue to send blessings upon one of you as long as he remains in his place of prayer, saying: O Allah, forgive him; O Allah, have mercy on him. And one of you remains in prayer as long as the prayer detains him.'
