English Translation
Ahmad ibn Ali ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us, Surayj ibn Yunus narrated to us, Hushaym informed us from Mughirah, from Ibrahim, from Alqamah, from Abd Allah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) who said: «Wine is the root of evil. Whoever drinks it, Allah will not accept his prayer for forty days, and if he dies while it is in his belly, he will die the death of ignorance.»
