أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ أَنَّ بُكَيْرًا حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ سُهَيْلَ بْنَ ذَكْوَانَ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «آمُرُكُمْ بِثَلَاثٍ وَأَنْهَاكُمْ عَنْ ثَلَاثٍ آمُرُكُمْ أَنْ تَعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَلَا تُشْرِكُوا بِهِ شَيْئًا وَتَعْتَصِمُوا بِحَبْلِ اللَّهِ جَمِيعًا وَلَا تَتَفَرَّقُوا وَتُطِيعُوا لِمَنْ وَلَّاهُ اللَّهُ أَمْرَكُمْ وَأَنْهَاكُمْ عَنْ قِيلَ وَقَالَ وَكَثْرَةِ السُّؤَالِ وَإِضَاعَةِ الْمَالِ»
English Translation
Ahmad bin Ali bin Al-Muthanna narrated to us, saying: Abu Khaythamah narrated to us, saying: Yahya bin Sa'id Al-Qattan narrated to us from Shu'bah from Sulaiman from Abi Wa'il from Abu Mas'ud that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to gently push our shoulders during prayer and say: "Do not differ, lest your hearts differ. Let those of maturity and wisdom among you be close to me, then those who follow them, then those who follow them."
