أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُقْرِئُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هَانِئٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَلِيٍّ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَالِكٍ الْجَنْبِيِّ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «ثَلَاثَةٌ لَا يُسْأَلُ عَنْهُمْ رَجُلٌ فَارَقَ الْجَمَاعَةَ وَعَصَى إِمَامَهُ وَمَاتَ عَاصِيًا وَأَمَةٌ أَوْ عَبْدٌ أَبَقَ مِنْ سَيِّدِهِ فَمَاتَ وَامْرَأَةٌ غَابَ زَوْجُهَا وَقَدْ كَفَاهَا مُؤْنَةَ الدُّنْيَا فَخَانَتْهُ بَعْدَهُ وَثَلَاثَةٌ لَا يُسْأَلُ عَنْهُمْ رَجُلٌ يُنَازِعُ اللَّهَ رِدَاءَهُ فَإِنَّ رِدَاءَهُ الْكِبْرُ وَإِزَارَهُ الْعِزُّ وَرَجُلٌ فِي شَكٍّ مِنْ أَمْرِ اللَّهِ وَالْقَانِطُ مِنْ رَحْمَةِ اللَّهِ»
English Translation
Muhammad bin Al-Hasan bin Qutaybah narrated to us, saying: Harun bin Ishaq narrated to us, saying: Abdah bin Sulaiman narrated to us, saying: Hisham bin Hassan narrated to us from Muhammad bin Sirin from Abu Hurairah from the Prophet (peace be upon him) that he said: "The best rows of men are the first and the worst are the last, and the best rows of women are the last and the worst are the first."
