أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبِيدَةُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الزَّعْرَاءِ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ مَالِكِ بْنِ نَضْلَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «الْأَيْدِي ثَلَاثَةٌ فَيَدُ اللَّهِ الْعُلْيَا وَيَدُ الْمُعْطِي الَّتِي تَلِيهَا وَيَدُ السُّفْلَى السَّائِلَةُ فَأَعْطِ الْفَضْلَ وَلَا تَعْجِزْ عَنْ نَفْسِكِ»
English Translation
It is narrated from Hadrat Malik ibn Nadlah's father (may Allah be well pleased with him) who said: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: «Hands are three: the Hand of Allah is the uppermost, the hand of the giver is the one that follows it, and the lower hand is the one that begs. So give from your surplus and do not be incapable regarding yourself.»
Urdu Translation
حضرت مالک بن نضلہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کے والد سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: «ہاتھ تین ہیں: اللہ کا ہاتھ سب سے اوپر ہے، اور دینے والے کا ہاتھ اس کے بعد ہے، اور نچلا ہاتھ وہ ہے جو سوال کرتا ہے۔ پس اپنی فاضل چیز سے دو اور اپنے آپ کے بارے میں عاجز نہ رہو۔»
