أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ الدُّولَابِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ الْعَامِرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ شَهِدْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ حَجَّتَهُ فَصَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ صَلَاةَ الصُّبْحِ فِي مَسْجِدِ الْخَيْفِ مِنْ مِنًى فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ إِذَا رَجُلَانِ فِي آخِرِ النَّاسِ لَمْ يُصَلِّيَا فَأُتِيَ بِهِمَا تُرْعَدُ فَرَائِصُهُمَا فَقَالَ «مَا مَنَعَكُمَا أَنْ تُصَلِّيَا مَعَنْا؟ » قَالَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كُنَّا قَدْ صَلَّيْنَا فِي رِحَالِنَا قَالَ «فَلَا تَفْعَلَا إِذَا صَلَّيْتُمَا فِي رِحَالِكُمَا ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُمَا مَسْجِدَ جَمَاعَةٍ فَصَلِّيَا مَعَهُمْ فَإِنَّهَا لَكُمَا نَافِلَةٌ»
English Translation
Yazid bin al-Aswad al-Amiri narrated: I witnessed the Hajj with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and I prayed the Fajr prayer with him in the mosque of al-Khayf in Mina. When he finished his prayer, there were two men at the back of the people who had not prayed. They were brought to him with their limbs trembling. He said: 'What prevented you from praying with us?' They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, we had already prayed in our camps.' He said: 'Do not do that. When you have prayed in your camps and then you come to a mosque with a congregation, pray with them, for it is a voluntary prayer for you.'
