أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ : كَانَ لِعُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ امْرَأَةٌ تَكْرَهُ الْجِمَاعَ، فَكَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْتِيَهَا اعْتَلَّتْ عَلَيْهِ بِالْحَيْضِ، فَوَقَعَ عَلَيْهَا، فَإِذَا هِيَ صَادِقَةٌ، فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَمَرَهُ :" أَنْ يَتَصَدَّقَ بِخُمُسَيْ دِينَارٍ "
English Translation
Abd al-Hamid ibn Zayd ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated: Hadrat Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be well pleased with him) had a wife who disliked intercourse. Whenever he wanted to approach her, she would make the excuse of menstruation. So he approached her, and she turned out to be truthful (that she was menstruating). He came to the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), who commanded him to give two-fifths of a dinar in charity.
Urdu Translation
عبد الحمید بن زید بن خطاب رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے: حضرت عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کی ایک بیوی تھیں جو ہمبستری ناپسند کرتی تھیں۔ جب بھی آپ اس کے پاس جانا چاہتے تو وہ حیض کا بہانہ کرتی۔ پھر آپ نے ہمبستری کی تو وہ سچی نکلی (کہ واقعی حیض آیا ہوا تھا)۔ تو آپ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے پاس آئے اور آپ نے انہیں حکم فرمایا کہ دو خمس دینار صدقہ کریں۔
