حَدَّثَنَامُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، حَدَّثَنَامُوسَى بْنُ عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْيُحَنَّسَمَوْلَى الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْسَالِمٍأَخِي أُمِّ الدَّرْدَاءِ، عَنْأُمِّ الدَّرْدَاءِ، عَنْأَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ:"مَنْ قَرَأَ أَلْفَ آيَةٍ، إِلَى خَمْسِ مِائَةٍ كُتِبَ لَهُ قِنْطَارٌ مِنْ الْأَجْرِ، الْقِيرَاطُ مِنْهُ مِثْلُ التَّلِّ الْعَظِيمِ".
English Translation
Sayyar Abu al-Hakam said: "I heard Sa'id ibn Jubayr say this more than ten times: 'The recitation of the Quran in Salah is better than the recitation of the Quran outside of Salah, and the recitation of the Quran outside of Salah is better than dhikr (remembrance of Allah), and dhikr is better than sadaqah (charity), and sadaqah is better than fasting, and fasting is a shield against the Fire.'" And Abu Muhammad added: Each thing in its appropriate time and context.
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابوالدرداء رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے، نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”جس شخص نے ایک ہزار آیات پڑھیں اس کے لئے قنطار من الاجر لکھ دیا گیا جس کا قیراط بہت بڑے ٹیلے کے برابر ہے۔“[سنن دارمي/من كتاب فضائل القرآن /حدیث: 3495]
