Arabic (Original)
وَعَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ - رضى الله عنه - أَنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَالَ: { لَا يَحِلُّ لِمُسْلِمٍ أَنْ يَهْجُرَ أَخَاهُ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثِ لَيَالٍ يَلْتَقِيَانِ, فَيُعْرِضُ هَذَا, وَيُعْرِضُ هَذَا, وَخَيْرُهُمَا اَلَّذِي يَبْدَأُ بِالسَّلَامِ } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ . 1 .1 - صحيح. رواه البخاري (6077)، ومسلم (2560) وفي روايه لهما:" فيصد هذا، ويصد هذا".
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Aiyub (RAA) narrated that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated:“It is not permissible for a Muslim to shun his brother for more than three nights. When they meet, this one turns away (from that one) and that one turns away (from this one) and the best of them is the one who greets his brother first.” Agreed upon
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوایوب رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: "مسلمان کے لیے حلال نہیں کہ اپنے بھائی سے تین راتوں سے زیادہ قطع تعلق رکھے۔ دونوں ملیں تو یہ منہ پھیرے اور وہ منہ پھیرے، اور ان میں بہتر وہ ہے جو پہلے سلام کرے"۔ متفق علیہ۔
