English Translation
Abdullah ibn Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: It was the practice of the Prophet (peace be upon him) that whenever a person brought his Sadaqah (Zakah) to him, he would say: "O Allah, bless the family of so-and-so." When my father brought his Sadaqah, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "O Allah, bless the family of Abu Awfa."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا عبداللہ بن اوفی رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہنبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکی عادت مبارکہ تھی کہ جب کوئی شخص آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس اپنا صدقہ لے کر آتا تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمفرماتے تھے کہ:”اے اللہ! فلاں شخص کی اولاد پر مہربانی فرما۔“چنانچہ ایک مرتبہ میرے والد آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس اپنا صدقہ لے کر آئے تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”اے اللہ! ابی اوفی کی اولاد پر مہربانی فرما۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 761]
