English Translation
The hadith of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), that "Abu Taybah applied cupping to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)" (the hadith has already been mentioned in the Book of Trade and Sale... chapter on the profession of the cupper..., and at the end of that hadith it is said that) indeed the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Cupping and sea costus are among your finest remedies." And he said: "Do not torment your children with throat ailments (i.e., diphtheria) by pressing their palate; rather use costus."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا انس رضی اللہ عنہ کی حدیث کہ”ابوطیبہ نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پچھنے لگائے تھے“(کتاب: خریدوفروخت کے بیان میں۔۔۔ باب: پچھنے لگانے والے کے پیشے کا بیان۔۔۔ میں حدیث گزر چکی ہے اور اس حدیث کے آخر میں کہتے ہیں کہ) بیشک رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”پچھنے لگوانا اور قسط دریائی تمہاری عمدہ دواؤں میں سے ہیں۔“اور فرمایا:”تم اپنے بچوں کو حلق کی بیماری (یعنی خناق) میں تالو دبا کر تکلیف نہ دیا کرو بلکہ قسط کا استعمال کیا کرو۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1967]
