English Translation
Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) forbade shighar marriage (which means that a person marries his daughter or sister to another man on the condition that the other man marries his own daughter or sister to the first man, with no dowry fixed for either of them).
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے نکاح شغار سے منع فرمایا ہے (جس کا مطلب ہے کہ کوئی اپنی بیٹی یا بہن کا نکاح دوسرے شخص کے ساتھ اس شرط پر کر دے کہ وہ دوسرا شخص اپنی بیٹی یا بہن کا نکاح اس پہلے شخص کے ساتھ کر دیے اور ان دونوں کا کچھ بھی مہر مقرر نہ ہو)[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1843]
