English Translation
Narrated Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him): I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saying, "A people will arise from among you, in comparison with whose prayer you will consider your own prayer insignificant, and in comparison with whose fasting your fasting, and in comparison with whose (other) good deeds your deeds; and they will recite the Qur'an, but it will not go past their throats. They will pass out of the religion just as an arrow passes out through the game animal, so that the hunter finds nothing on the arrowhead, nor anything stuck on the shaft, nor any trace on the feathers; only the notch (of the arrow) leaves some doubt (the hunter looks at the arrowhead but finds nothing on it)."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہمیں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے سنا، فرماتے تھے:”تم میں سے ایک ایسی قوم نکلے گی کہ تم اپنی نماز کو ان کی نماز کے مقابل اور اپنے روزے ان کے روزوں اور اپنے (دوسرے) نیک اعمال کو ان کے اعمال کے مقابل حقیر سمجھو گے اور وہ قرآن پڑھیں گے جو ان کے حلق سے نیچے نہ اترے گا۔ وہ دین سے ایسے نکل جائیں گے جیسے تیر شکار کے جانور میں سے باہر نکل جاتا ہے کہ شکاری کو نہ پیکان میں کچھ معلوم ہو اور نہ ڈنڈی میں کچھ لگا ہوا معلوم ہو اور نہ پر پر کچھ اثر ہو بس سوفار کچھ شبہ سا ہو (شکار پیکان کو دیکھے تو اس میں کچھ نظر نہ آئے)۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1825]
