English Translation
Narrated Anas (may Allah be pleased with him): When the Prophet (peace be upon him) was taken up to heaven (that is, the Ascension took place), he (peace be upon him) said, "I came upon a river on both banks of which were domes (pavilions) of hollowed pearls. I asked Jibril (may Allah be pleased with him), 'What is this?' He answered, 'This is (your river) al-Kawthar.'"
Urdu Translation
سیدنا انس رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہجب نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمآسمان پر چڑھائے گئے (یعنی معراج ہوئی تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”میں ایک نہر پر گیا جس کے دونوں طرف خولدار موتیوں کے قبے (ڈیرے) تھے، میں نے جبرائیل رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا یہ کیا ہے؟“انھوں نے جواب دیا”یہ (آپ کی نہر) کوثر ہے۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1803]
