English Translation
Narrated Abbas bin Abdul-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with him): He said to the Prophet: "O Messenger of Allah, what have you done for your uncle? He used to protect you and get angry on your behalf." The Prophet said: "He is in the shallowest part of the Fire, reaching his ankles. Were it not for my intercession, he would be in the lowest depths of Hell."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا عباس بن عبدالمطلب رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہانھوں نے نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے کہا کہ یا رسول اللہ! آپ اپنے چچا کے کیا کام آئے؟ وہ آپ کو بچاتے تھے اور آپ کی خاطر غصے ہوا کرتے تھے۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”وہ ٹخنوں تک آگ میں ہیں اور اگر میں ان کی سفارش نہ کرتا تو وہ دوزخ کی سب سے نچلی تہہ میں ہوتے۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1586]
