حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مَاهَكَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ تَخَلَّفَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي سَفَرٍ سَافَرْنَاهُ فَأَدْرَكَنَا وَقَدْ أَرْهَقْنَا الصَّلاَةَ صَلاَةَ الْعَصْرِ وَنَحْنُ نَتَوَضَّأُ، فَجَعَلْنَا نَمْسَحُ عَلَى أَرْجُلِنَا، فَنَادَى بِأَعْلَى صَوْتِهِ " وَيْلٌ لِلأَعْقَابِ مِنَ النَّارِ ". مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلاَثًا.
English Translation
Hadrat Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrates that during a journey, the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was left behind. He then caught up with us while the Asr prayer time was running out and we were performing ablution. We were just wiping our feet (without washing them properly), so he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) called out in a loud voice: Woe to the heels from the Fire! He said this two or three times.
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک سفر میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ہم سے پیچھے رہ گئے۔ پھر آپ ہمارے قریب تشریف لائے، عصر کی نماز کا وقت تنگ ہو چکا تھا اور ہم وضو کر رہے تھے۔ ہم اپنے پاؤں پر (صرف) ہاتھ پھیرنے لگے تو آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے بلند آواز سے ارشاد فرمایا: ایڑیوں کی خرابی آگ سے ہے۔ دو یا تین بار یہ ارشاد فرمایا۔
