Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ، سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ قَالَ " إِذَا وُضِعَ الْعَشَاءُ وَأُقِيمَتِ الصَّلاَةُ فَابْدَءُوا بِالْعَشَاءِ ".
English Translation
Umm al-Mu'minin Hadrat Aisha (may Allah be well pleased with her) narrates that during his final illness, the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) told Hadrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be well pleased with him) to lead the people in prayer. Hadrat Abu Bakr began leading the prayer. Meanwhile, the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) felt somewhat relieved and came out supported by two men, his blessed feet dragging on the ground. When Hadrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be well pleased with him) saw him, he began to step back, but the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) gestured to him to remain in his place. He was then brought and seated beside Hadrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be well pleased with him).
Urdu Translation
حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم مرض الوفات میں حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے فرمایا: لوگوں کو نماز پڑھاؤ۔ حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نماز پڑھانے لگے۔ اس دوران رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو ذرا سبکی محسوس ہوئی تو آپ دو آدمیوں کے سہارے (باہر) تشریف لائے اور آپ کے پاؤں مبارک زمین پر گھسٹ رہے تھے۔ جب حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے آپ کو دیکھا تو پیچھے ہٹنے لگے، مگر آپ نے اشارے سے فرمایا کہ اپنی جگہ رہو۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو لا کر حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کے پہلو میں بٹھایا گیا۔
