Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّهُ أَهَلَّ وَقَالَ إِنْ حِيلَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ لَفَعَلْتُ كَمَا فَعَلَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم حِينَ حَالَتْ كُفَّارُ قُرَيْشٍ بَيْنَهُ. وَتَلاَ {لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ}
English Translation
Hadrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be well pleased with them both) assumed Ihram and said, 'If anything should come between me and the Ka'bah, I shall do as the Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) did when the disbelievers of Quraysh blocked his path.' He then recited the verse: 'Indeed, there is for you in the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) an excellent example.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما نے احرام باندھا اور فرمایا: اگر میرے اور بیت اللہ کے درمیان رکاوٹ ڈالی گئی تو میں وہی کروں گا جو نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے اس وقت کیا تھا جب کفار قریش نے آپ کو روکا تھا۔ اور انہوں نے یہ آیت تلاوت فرمائی: 'لَقَدْ کَانَ لَکُمْ فِیْ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰہِ اُسْوَۃٌ حَسَنَۃٌ' (بے شک تمہارے لیے رسول اللہ میں بہترین نمونہ ہے)۔
