Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَدِيٌّ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ الْبَرَاءَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لِحَسَّانَ " اهْجُهُمْ ـ أَوْ هَاجِهِمْ ـ وَجِبْرِيلُ مَعَكَ ".
English Translation
Hadrat Bara' bin 'Azib (may Allah be well pleased with him) states that the Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) declared to Hadrat Hassan (bin Thabit) (may Allah be well pleased with him), 'Satirize them (the polytheists) and Jibra'il (upon him be peace) is with you.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت براء بن عازب رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے حضرت حسان (بن ثابت) رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے ارشاد فرمایا: ان (مشرکین) کی ہجو کرو اور جبرائیل (علیہ السلام) تمہارے ساتھ ہیں۔
