حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ أَخْبَرَنَا عَدِيُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْبَرَاءَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لِحَسَّانَ اهْجُهُمْ أَوْ هَاجِهِمْ وَجِبْرِيلُ مَعَكَ.
English Translation
Affan told us, Shu'bah told us, Adi ibn Thabit informed us, who said: I heard al-Bara' say: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say to Hassan: "Satirize them" - or "compose satire against them" - "and Gabriel is with you."
