حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ قَالَ رَجُلٌ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ قُتِلْتُ فَأَيْنَ أَنَا قَالَ " فِي الْجَنَّةِ " فَأَلْقَى تَمَرَاتٍ فِي يَدِهِ، ثُمَّ قَاتَلَ حَتَّى قُتِلَ.
English Translation
Hadrat Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be well pleased with them both) states that on the day of Uhud, a man submitted to the Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), 'If I am martyred, where shall I be?' He declared, 'In Paradise.' The man threw away the dates from his hand and fought until he was martyred.
Urdu Translation
حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ احد کے دن ایک شخص نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے عرض کیا: اگر میں شہید ہو جاؤں تو میں کہاں ہوں گا؟ ارشاد فرمایا: جنت میں۔ اس نے اپنے ہاتھ سے کھجوریں پھینک دیں اور لڑتا رہا یہاں تک کہ شہید ہو گیا۔
