حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " إِنَّ أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ يَتَرَاءَيُونَ أَهْلَ الْغُرَفِ مِنْ فَوْقِهِمْ كَمَا يَتَرَاءَيُونَ الْكَوْكَبَ الدُّرِّيَّ الْغَابِرَ فِي الأُفُقِ مِنَ الْمَشْرِقِ أَوِ الْمَغْرِبِ، لِتَفَاضُلِ مَا بَيْنَهُمْ ". قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، تِلْكَ مَنَازِلُ الأَنْبِيَاءِ لاَ يَبْلُغُهَا غَيْرُهُمْ قَالَ " بَلَى وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ، رِجَالٌ آمَنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَصَدَّقُوا الْمُرْسَلِينَ ".
English Translation
It is narrated from Hadrat Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) declared: Indeed, the people of Paradise shall look up at the dwellers of the lofty chambers above them just as you look at a brilliant star shining on the horizon in the East or the West — that is because of the difference in their ranks. The Companions submitted: O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)! Those must be the stations of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)s which no one else can attain! The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) declared: No indeed! By the One in Whose Hand is my life — (those stations are also for) people who believed in Allah and affirmed the truthfulness of the Messengers.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: بے شک جنتی لوگ اپنے سے اوپر بالا خانوں والوں کو اسی طرح دیکھیں گے جیسے تم آسمان کے کنارے پر مشرق یا مغرب میں چمکتے ہوئے ستارے کو دیکھتے ہو — یہ ان کے درجات میں باہم فضیلت کی وجہ سے ہے۔ صحابہ نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! وہ تو انبیاء کے مقامات ہوں گے جن تک ان کے سوا کوئی نہ پہنچ سکے گا! آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: نہیں! اس ذات کی قسم جس کے ہاتھ میں میری جان ہے — (وہ مقامات ان لوگوں کے لیے بھی ہوں گے) جو اللہ تعالیٰ پر ایمان لائے اور رسولوں کی تصدیق کی۔
