حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مَرْحُومٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه قَالَ خَفَّتْ أَزْوَادُ النَّاسِ وَأَمْلَقُوا، فَأَتَوُا النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي نَحْرِ إِبِلِهِمْ، فَأَذِنَ لَهُمْ، فَلَقِيَهُمْ عُمَرُ فَأَخْبَرُوهُ فَقَالَ مَا بَقَاؤُكُمْ بَعْدَ إِبِلِكُمْ فَدَخَلَ عُمَرُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا بَقَاؤُهُمْ بَعْدَ إِبِلِهِمْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " نَادِ فِي النَّاسِ يَأْتُونَ بِفَضْلِ أَزْوَادِهِمْ ". فَدَعَا وَبَرَّكَ عَلَيْهِ، ثُمَّ دَعَاهُمْ بِأَوْعِيَتِهِمْ، فَاحْتَثَى النَّاسُ حَتَّى فَرَغُوا، ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ، وَأَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ".
English Translation
It is narrated by Hadrat Salama (bin al-Akwa', may Allah be well pleased with him) who states: The provisions of the people ran low and they became destitute. They came to the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) seeking permission to slaughter their camels, and he permitted them. Then Hadrat Umar (may Allah be well pleased with him) met them and they informed him. He said: What will sustain you after your camels? Hadrat Umar (may Allah be well pleased with him) went to the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and submitted: O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)! What will sustain them after their camels? The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) declared: "Announce among the people to bring whatever remains of their provisions." Then he prayed for blessings upon it, then called them with their containers, and the people scooped handfuls until they had enough. Then the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) declared: "I bear witness that there is no deity but Allah, and that I am the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)."
Urdu Translation
حضرت سلمہ (بن اکوع) رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے، فرماتے ہیں: لوگوں کا سامانِ سفر کم ہو گیا اور وہ تنگ دست ہو گئے۔ وہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے پاس اپنے اونٹ ذبح کرنے کی اجازت لینے آئے۔ آپ نے اجازت دے دی۔ (راستے میں) حضرت عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے ان سے ملاقات کی، انہوں نے خبر دی تو حضرت عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے فرمایا: اونٹوں کے بعد تمہارا گزارا کیسے ہوگا؟ حضرت عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے اور عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! اونٹوں کے بعد ان کا گزارا کیسے ہوگا؟ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: "لوگوں میں اعلان کرو کہ اپنے بچے ہوئے سامان لے آئیں۔" پھر آپ نے اس پر دعائے برکت فرمائی، پھر لوگوں کو برتن لانے کا حکم دیا اور لوگوں نے لپ بھر بھر کر لیا یہاں تک کہ فارغ ہو گئے۔ پھر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: "میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں اور میں اللہ کا رسول ہوں۔"
