حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ سَهْلٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَنْ جُرْحِ النَّبِيِّ، صلى الله عليه وسلم يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ. فَقَالَ جُرِحَ وَجْهُ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَكُسِرَتْ رَبَاعِيَتُهُ وَهُشِمَتِ الْبَيْضَةُ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ، فَكَانَتْ فَاطِمَةُ ـ عَلَيْهَا السَّلاَمُ ـ تَغْسِلُ الدَّمَ وَعَلِيٌّ يُمْسِكُ، فَلَمَّا رَأَتْ أَنَّ الدَّمَ لاَ يَزِيدُ إِلاَّ كَثْرَةً أَخَذَتْ حَصِيرًا فَأَحْرَقَتْهُ حَتَّى صَارَ رَمَادًا ثُمَّ أَلْزَقَتْهُ، فَاسْتَمْسَكَ الدَّمُ.
English Translation
Hadrat Sahl (may Allah be well pleased with him) was asked about the wound of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) on the day of Uhud. He stated: The blessed face of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was wounded, his front tooth was martyred (broken), and the helmet on his blessed head was crushed. Hadrat Fatima al-Zahra (upon her be peace) was washing the blood while Hadrat Ali (may Allah ennoble his countenance) was holding (the water). When she saw that the bleeding only increased, she took a mat, burned it to ash, and applied it (to the wound), and the bleeding stopped.
Urdu Translation
حضرت سہل رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے غزوۂ اُحد کے دن نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے زخم کے بارے میں پوچھا گیا۔ انہوں نے فرمایا: نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کا چہرۂ انور زخمی ہوا، سامنے کا دندانِ مبارک شہید ہوا اور سرِ مبارک پر خود ٹوٹ کر دھنس گیا۔ حضرت فاطمۃ الزہرا علیہا السلام خون دھو رہی تھیں اور حضرت علی کرّم اللہ تعالیٰ وجہہ الکریم (پانی لا کر) تھامے ہوئے تھے۔ جب انہوں نے دیکھا کہ خون بڑھتا ہی جا رہا ہے تو ایک چٹائی لی اور جلا کر راکھ بنایا اور (زخم پر) لگایا، تو خون رک گیا۔
