Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ، حَدَّثَنَا الْجُرَيْرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " أَلاَ أُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِأَكْبَرِ الْكَبَائِرِ ". ثَلاَثًا. قَالُوا بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ. قَالَ " الإِشْرَاكُ بِاللَّهِ، وَعُقُوقُ الْوَالِدَيْنِ ". وَجَلَسَ وَكَانَ مُتَّكِئًا فَقَالَ " أَلاَ وَقَوْلُ الزُّورِ ". قَالَ فَمَا زَالَ يُكَرِّرُهَا حَتَّى قُلْنَا لَيْتَهُ سَكَتَ. وَقَالَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا الْجُرَيْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ.
English Translation
Narrated to us by Musaddad, narrated to us by Bishr bin al-Mufaddal, narrated to us by al-Jurairi, from Abdur-Rahman bin Abi Bakrah, from his father (Hadrat Abu Bakrah) (may Allah be well pleased with him), who stated that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) declared, 'Shall I not inform you of the greatest of the major sins?' — three times. The Companions (may Allah be well pleased with them) submitted, 'Indeed, O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)!' He declared, 'Associating partners with Allah Almighty, and disobedience to parents.' He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) had been reclining, then sat up and declared, 'And beware! False speech (false testimony).' He kept repeating it until we wished that he would stop. And Isma'il bin Ibrahim said al-Jurairi narrated to us, Abdur-Rahman narrated to us.
Urdu Translation
ہم سے مسدد نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے بشر بن مفضل نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے جریری نے بیان کیا، عبدالرحمٰن بن ابی بکرہ سے، ان کے والد (حضرت ابو بکرہ) رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے، فرمایا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: کیا میں تمہیں سب سے بڑے کبیرہ گناہ نہ بتاؤں؟ تین مرتبہ فرمایا۔ صحابہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہم نے عرض کیا: کیوں نہیں، یا رسول اللہ! فرمایا: اللہ تعالیٰ کے ساتھ شرک کرنا اور والدین کی نافرمانی۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ٹیک لگائے ہوئے تھے، بیٹھ گئے اور فرمایا: خبردار! اور جھوٹی بات (جھوٹی گواہی)۔ فرمایا: آپ برابر اسے دہراتے رہے یہاں تک کہ ہم نے کہا: کاش آپ خاموش ہو جائیں۔ اور اسماعیل بن ابراہیم نے فرمایا ہم سے جریری نے بیان کیا، ہم سے عبدالرحمٰن نے بیان کیا۔
