حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ عِنْدَ بَعْضِ نِسَائِهِ، فَأَرْسَلَتْ إِحْدَى أُمَّهَاتِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مَعَ خَادِمٍ بِقَصْعَةٍ فِيهَا طَعَامٌ فَضَرَبَتْ بِيَدِهَا، فَكَسَرَتِ الْقَصْعَةَ، فَضَمَّهَا، وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا الطَّعَامَ وَقَالَ " كُلُوا ". وَحَبَسَ الرَّسُولَ وَالْقَصْعَةَ حَتَّى فَرَغُوا، فَدَفَعَ الْقَصْعَةَ الصَّحِيحَةَ وَحَبَسَ الْمَكْسُورَةَ. وَقَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسٌ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم.
English Translation
It is narrated by Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was with one of his blessed wives when one of the Mothers of the Believers sent a bowl of food with a servant. The wife (in whose house he was) struck the bowl with her hand and it broke. The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) gathered the broken pieces, put the food back in it, and stated: 'Eat.' He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) kept the servant and the broken bowl. When everyone had finished eating, he sent back an unbroken bowl (to the Mother of the Believers who had sent the food) and kept the broken one.
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ازواجِ مطہرات میں سے کسی ایک کے ہاں تشریف رکھتے تھے۔ اُمّہات المؤمنین میں سے ایک نے خادم کے ہاتھ ایک پیالے میں کھانا بھجوایا۔ (جن اُمّ المؤمنین کے ہاں آپ تشریف رکھتے تھے) انہوں نے ہاتھ مارا اور پیالہ ٹوٹ گیا۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ٹوٹے ہوئے ٹکڑوں کو جوڑا، کھانا واپس اس میں رکھا اور ارشاد فرمایا: کھاؤ۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے خادم اور ٹوٹا ہوا پیالہ روکے رکھا۔ جب سب فارغ ہو گئے تو ایک سالم پیالہ (بھیجنے والی اُمّ المؤمنین کو) بھجوا دیا اور ٹوٹا ہوا پیالہ اپنے پاس رکھ لیا۔
