Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ الَّذِينَ يَشْتَرُونَ الطَّعَامَ مُجَازَفَةً يُضْرَبُونَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنْ يَبِيعُوهُ حَتَّى يُئْوُوهُ إِلَى رِحَالِهِمْ.
English Translation
It is narrated from Hadrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be well pleased with them both) who states: I saw in the time of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) that those who used to buy foodstuff by estimation (without measuring) were beaten for selling it at the very place until they had carried it to their homes.
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے، فرماتے ہیں: میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے زمانے میں ان لوگوں کو دیکھا جو غلہ اندازے سے (بغیر ناپ تول کے) خرید لیتے تھے، انہیں مارا جاتا تھا (تاکہ) وہ اسے اسی جگہ نہ بیچیں جب تک اسے اپنے گھروں تک نہ لے جائیں۔
