Arabic (Original)
وَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي حَمْزَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ كَانَتِ الْكِلاَبُ تَبُولُ وَتُقْبِلُ وَتُدْبِرُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فِي زَمَانِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَلَمْ يَكُونُوا يَرُشُّونَ شَيْئًا مِنْ ذَلِكَ.
English Translation
Hadrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrates: During the time of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), dogs used to come and go in the mosque and even urinate, but the Companions (may Allah be well pleased with them) did not sprinkle water on those places.
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرماتے ہیں: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے زمانے میں کتے مسجد میں آتے جاتے تھے اور پیشاب بھی کر دیتے تھے، مگر صحابہ کرام رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہم اس پر پانی نہیں چھڑکتے تھے۔
