Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ، قَالَ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَوْمَ خَرَجَ يَسْتَسْقِي قَالَ فَحَوَّلَ إِلَى النَّاسِ ظَهْرَهُ، وَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ يَدْعُو، ثُمَّ حَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى لَنَا رَكْعَتَيْنِ جَهَرَ فِيهِمَا بِالْقِرَاءَةِ.
English Translation
It is narrated from Hadrat Abbad bin Tamim from his uncle (Hadrat Abdullah bin Zaid, may Allah be well pleased with him) who said: I saw the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) on the day he went out for the Istisqa prayer. He turned his back towards the people and faced the Qibla while invoking Allah, then turned his blessed cloak inside out and led us in a two rak'at prayer, reciting the Quran aloud in them.
Urdu Translation
حضرت عباد بن تمیم رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ اپنے چچا (حضرت عبداللہ بن زید رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ میں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو دیکھا جب آپ استسقاء کے لیے تشریف لے گئے۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے لوگوں کی طرف پیٹھ فرمائی اور قبلہ رخ ہو کر دعا فرمائی، پھر اپنی چادر مبارک پلٹی اور ہمیں دو رکعت نماز پڑھائی جس میں بلند آواز سے قرآت فرمائی۔
