حدثنا بشر بن خالد حَدَّثَنا سعيد بن مسلمة عن عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ عَطَاء عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لا صدقة إلا عن ظهر غنى واليد العليا خير من اليد السفلى وابدأ بمن تعول
English Translation
Bishr ibn Khalid narrated to us, Sa'id ibn Maslamah narrated to us, from Abd al-Malik ibn Abi Sulaiman, from Ata', from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him), from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) who stated: «There is no charity except from surplus wealth. The upper hand is better than the lower hand. And begin with those you support.»
