وَحَدَّثَنا عمر بن الخطاب حَدَّثَنا مُحَمَّد بن يوسف عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ عَطَاء عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ تَسَحَّرُوا فإن في السحور بركةوهذا الحديثُ رواه ابن أبي ليلى عن عَطَاء عن أبي هريرة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ورواه ابن أبي ليلى أيضا عن عطية عن أبي سعيد ورواه أيضا عن أخيه عن أبيه عن أبي ليلى والمشهور حديث عطاء عن أبي هريرة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ تَسَحَّرُوا فإن في السحور بركةوهذا الحديثُ رواه ابن أبي ليلى عن عَطَاء عن أبي هريرة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ورواه ابن أبي ليلى أيضا عن عطية عن أبي سعيد ورواه أيضا عن أخيه عن أبيه عن أبي ليلى والمشهور حديث عطاء عن أبي هريرة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ
English Translation
And Umar ibn al-Khattab narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Yusuf narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Ibn Abi Layla, from Ata', from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him), from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) who stated: «Take the pre-dawn meal (suhur), for in the pre-dawn meal there is blessing.» This hadith was narrated by Ibn Abi Layla from Ata', from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him). Ibn Abi Layla also narrated it from Atiyyah, from Abu Sa'id. He also narrated it from his brother, from his father, from Abu Layla. The well-known version is the hadith of Ata' from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him).
