حدثنا عقبة بن مكرم العمي حدثنا معلى بن أسد حدثنا أبو حمزة السكري عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صالحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هريرة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عن طعام المتباريينوهذا الكلام لا نحفظه من حديث أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلا مِنْ هَذَا الوجه ولم نسمعه إلا من عقبة بن مكرم
English Translation
Uqbah ibn Mukram al-Ammi narrated to us, Mu'alla ibn Asad narrated to us, Abu Hamzah al-Sukkari narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) who stated: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) forbade the food of those competing (in extravagance). We do not preserve this statement from the hadith of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him), from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) except through this route, and we did not hear it except from Uqbah ibn Mukram.
