حَدَّثنا مُحَمد بن عُثمَان قَال حَدَّثنا عُبَيد الله قَال حَدَّثنا عُمَر بْنُ صَهْبَانَ عَن أَبِي الزُّبَير عَن سَعِيد بْنِ جُبَير عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِي اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم فِي غَزْوَةٍ يُؤَخِّرُ الظُّهْرَ حَتَّى يُبْرِدَ ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي الظُّهْرَ وَالْعَصْرَ ثُمَّ لا يَنْزِلُ حَتَّى يَغِيبَ الشَّفَقُ ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي الْمَغْرِبَ والعشاء اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم فِي غَزْوَةٍ يُؤَخِّرُ الظُّهْرَ حَتَّى يُبْرِدَ ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي الظُّهْرَ وَالْعَصْرَ ثُمَّ لا يَنْزِلُ حَتَّى يَغِيبَ الشَّفَقُ ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي الْمَغْرِبَ والعشاء
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Uthman narrated to us, he said: Ubayd Allah narrated to us, he said: Umar ibn Sahban narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both), who said: During a military expedition, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to delay Dhuhr until it cooled down, then he would pray Dhuhr and Asr together, and he would delay Maghrib until he combined it with Isha.
