وحَدَّثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنَ الْمُثَنَّى قَال حَدَّثنا ابن أبي عَدِيّ قَال حَدَّثنا سَعِيد عَن قَتَادَةَ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِي اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الصَّلاتَيْنِ فِي السَّفَرِ وَيَقُولُ من السنة أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الصَّلاتَيْنِ فِي السَّفَرِ وَيَقُولُ من السنة
English Translation
And Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us, he said: Ibn Abi Adi narrated to us, he said: Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Jabir ibn Zayd, from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both), that he used to combine the two prayers while traveling and would say: 'It is from the Sunnah.'
