حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ نَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي الْوَزِيرِ قَالَ أَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو عَنْ بُسْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تَدْخُلُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ بَيْتًا فِيهِ صُورَةٌ وَلَا كَلْبٌ قَالَ وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ إِلَّا رَقْمًا فِي ثَوْبٍ
English Translation
Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us, he said: Ibrahim ibn Abi al-Wazir narrated to us, he said: 'Abd al-'Aziz informed us, he said: 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi 'Amr informed us, from Busr ibn Sa'id, from 'Ubaydah ibn Sufyan, from Zayd ibn Khalid al-Juhani, may Allah be well pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, blessings and peace of Allah be upon him, said: "The angels do not enter a house in which there is an image or a dog." He said: And I heard him say: "Except for a pattern on a garment."
