حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ نَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ قَالَ نَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْهَادِ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيُكْرِمْ ضَيْفَهُ مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيَقُلْ خَيْرًا أَوْ لِيَسْكُتْ وَالضِّيَافَةُ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ فَمَا زَادَ فَهُوَ صَدَقَةٌ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيُكْرِمْ ضَيْفَهُ مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيَقُلْ خَيْرًا أَوْ لِيَسْكُتْ وَالضِّيَافَةُ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ فَمَا زَادَ فَهُوَ صَدَقَةٌ
English Translation
Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us, he said: Abu 'Amir narrated to us, he said: 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn Muhammad narrated to us, from Yazid ibn al-Had, from Abu Bakr ibn 'Amr ibn Hazm, from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr ibn 'Uthman, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi 'Amrah, from Zayd ibn Khalid, may Allah be well pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, blessings and peace of Allah be upon him, said: "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him honor his guest. Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him speak good or remain silent. And hospitality is for three days; whatever is beyond that is charity."
