English Translation
Hudbah ibn Khalid narrated to us, he said: Hammad ibn Salamah informed us, from 'Ali ibn Zayd, from al-Hasan, from 'Uthman ibn Abi al-'As (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Indeed, during the night there is an hour in which a caller calls out: Is there anyone supplicating, so that I may respond to him? Is there anyone asking, so that I may give him? Is there anyone seeking forgiveness, so that I may forgive him?' This hadith has been narrated with similar meaning from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with different wordings, and we will mention each one with its own wording in its proper place, God willing. We do not know of anyone who narrates this hadith from 'Uthman ibn Abi al-'As except through this route with this chain.
