أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو النَّضْرِ الْفَقِيهُ ثنا أَبُو مُوسَى هَارُونُ بْنُ مُوسَى الزَّاهِدُ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى أنبأ أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ثنا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَطِيَّةَ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ أَنَا وَمَسْرُوقٌ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ فَقُلْنَا لَهَا يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رَجُلَانِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ أَحَدُهُمَا يُعَجِّلُ الصَّلَاةَ وَيُعَجِّلُ الْإِفْطَارَ وَالْآخَرُ يُؤَخِّرُ الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤَخِّرُ الْإِفْطَارَ قَالَتْ أَيُّهُمَا الَّذِي يُعَجِّلُ الصَّلَاةَ وَيُعَجِّلُ الْإِفْطَارَ؟ قُلْنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ قَالَتْ هَكَذَا كَانَ يَصْنَعُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَالْآخَرُ أَبُو مُوسَى
English Translation
Abu Atiyyah said: 'Masruq and I entered upon Aisha and said to her: "O Mother of the Believers, there are two men from the Companions of Muhammad (peace be upon him). One of them hastens the prayer and hastens breaking the fast, and the other delays the prayer and delays breaking the fast." She said: "Which of them hastens the prayer and hastens breaking the fast?" We said: "Abdullah (ibn Mas'ud)." She said: "This is how the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to do." The other one was Abu Musa.'
