وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو حَامِدٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الْخُسْرَوَجُرْدِيُّ ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ الْجَلَّابُ يَقُولُ سَأَلْتُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنَ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ بِالْمَدِينَةِ عَنْ صَاعِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَأَخْرَجَ إِلَيَّ صَاعًا عَتِيقًا بَالِيًا فَقَالَ هَذَا صَاعُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِعَيْنِهِ فَعَيَّرْتُهُ فَكَانَ خَمْسَةَ أَرْطَالٍ وَثُلُثًا
English Translation
And Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us... from Muhammad ibn Sa'd al-Jallab who said: I asked Isma'il ibn Abi Uwais in Madinah about the sa' of the Prophet (peace be upon him). He brought out an old, worn sa' and said: 'This is the sa' of the Prophet (peace be upon him) itself.' I calibrated it, and it was five and a third ratls.
