English Translation
Abu Zakariyya ibn Abi Ishaq al-Muzakki narrated to us... from Abdullah ibn Amr who said: The sun eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). He prolonged the standing until it was said he would not bow. Then he bowed and prolonged it until it was said he would not raise. Then he raised and prolonged until it was said he would not prostrate. Then he prostrated and prolonged until it was said he would not raise. Then he raised and sat, prolonging the sitting until it was said he would not prostrate. Then he prostrated and prolonged the prostration. Then he raised and did the same in the second unit until the sun cleared. This narrator preserved from Abdullah ibn Amr the length of prostration but did not preserve the two bowings in one unit. Abu Salamah preserved the two bowings in one unit and preserved the long prostration from Aisha.
