وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحُرْفِيُّ بِبَغْدَادَ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الشَّافِعِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى الْبِرْتِيُّ الْقَاضِي ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ثُمَّ نُودِيَ الصَّلَاةُ جَامِعَةٌ فَرَكَعَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فِي سَجْدَةٍ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَرَكَعَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فِي سَجْدَةٍ ثُمَّ جَلَسَ حَتَّى جُلِّيَ عَنِ الشَّمْسِ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ ؓ مَا سَجَدْتُ سُجُودًا قَطُّ وَلَا رَكَعْتُ رُكُوعًا قَطُّ أَ��ْوَلَ مِنْهُ
English Translation
Abu al-Qasim Abd al-Rahman narrated to us in Baghdad... from Abdullah ibn Amr who said: The sun eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), then it was announced: 'The prayer is a congregational one.' He bowed twice in one unit of prayer, then stood and bowed twice in another unit. Then he sat until the eclipse cleared from the sun. Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I have never prostrated a prostration nor bowed a bowing longer than that.
