أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الْعَدْلُ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْمُزَكِّي ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْعَبْدِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ثنا مَالِكٌ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ خَوَّاتٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ صَلَاةَ الْخَوْفِ أَنْ يَقُومَ الْإِمَامُ وَمَعَهُ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ وَطَائِفَةٌ مُوَاجِهَةٌ الْعَدُوَّ فَيَرْكَعُ بِهِمُ الْإِمَامُ رَكْعَةً وَيَسْجُدُ بِالَّذِينَ مَعَهُ ثُمَّ يَقُومُونَ فَإِذَا اسْتَوَى قَائِمًا ثَبَتَ وَأَتَمُّوا لِأَنْفُسِهِمُ الرَّكْعَةَ الْبَاقِيَةَ ثُمَّ سَلَّمُوا وَانْصَرَفُوا وَالْإِمَامُ قَائِمٌ وَكَانُوا وِجَاهَ الْعَدُوِّ ثُمَّ يُقْبِلُ الْآخَرُونَ الَّذِينَ لَمْ يُصَلُّوا فَيُكَبِّرُونَ وَرَاءَ الْإِمَامِ فَيَرْكَعُ بِهِمْ وَيَسْجُدُ ثُمَّ يُسَلِّمُ فَيَقُومُونَ فَيَرْكَعُونَ لِأَنْفُسِهِمُ الرَّكْعَةَ الْبَاقِيَةَ ثُمَّ يُسَلِّمُونَ كَذَا رَوَاهُ مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ 6016 وَخَالَفَهُ سُفْيَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الثَّوْرِيُّ فَرَوَاهُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ بِإِسْنَادِهِ وَمَعْنَاهُ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي آخِرِهِ ثُمَّ ذَهَبُوا إِلَى مَصَافِّ أُولَئِكَ وَجَاءُوا أُولَئِكَ وَقَامُوا وَرَاءَ الْإِمَامِ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ رَكْعَةً ثُمَّ قَامُوا فَقَضَوْا تِلْكَ الرَّكْعَةَ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ الْإِمَامُ أَخْبَرَنَا بِذَلِكَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا أَسِيدُ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ فَذَكَرَهُ وَكَذَلِكَ
English Translation
Abu Ahmad 'Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-'Adl informed us... from Yahya ibn Bukayr... from Malik, from Yahya ibn Sa'id, from al-Qasim ibn Muhammad, from Salih ibn Khawwat al-Ansari, from Sahl ibn Abi Hathmah who narrated that the prayer of fear is that the imam stands with a group of his companions, and another group faces the enemy. The imam prays one rak'ah with those with him and prostrates. Then when he stands, they complete one rak'ah on their own, give the salam and depart, while the imam remains standing. They then face the enemy. The others who did not pray come, say the takbir behind the imam, and he prays one rak'ah with them and prostrates. Then he gives the salam, and they stand and complete one rak'ah on their own, then give the salam. This is how Malik ibn Anas narrated it from Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Ansari. Sufyan ibn Sa'id al-Thawri differed and narrated it from Yahya ibn Sa'id with his chain and similar meaning, except that at the end he said: Then those went to the rows of those, and those came and stood behind the imam. He prayed one rak'ah with them, then they stood and completed that rak'ah, then the imam gave the salam.
