أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُقْرِئُ أنبأ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَاللَّفْظُ لِأَبِي الرَّبِيعِ قَالَا ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْخِرِّيتِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ قَالَ خَطَبَنَا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ يَوْمًا بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ حَتَّى غَرَبَتِ الشَّمْسُ وَبَدَتِ النُّجُومُ فَجَعَلَ النَّاسُ يَقُولُونَ الصَّلَاةَ الصَّلَاةَ قَالَ فَجَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي تَمِيمٍ لَا يَفْتُرُ الصَّلَاةَ الصَّلَاةَ فَقَالَ أَتُعَلِّمُنِي السُّنَّةَ لَا أُمَّ لَكَ ثُمَّ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ شَقِيقٍ فَحَاكَ فِي صَدْرِي مِنْ ذَلِكَ شَيْءٌ فَأَتَيْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ فَسَأَلْتُهُ فَصَدَّقَ مَقَالَتَهُ
English Translation
Abdullah ibn Shaqiq said: 'Ibn Abbas gave us a sermon one day after Asr until the sun set and the stars appeared. The people began saying: The prayer! The prayer! A man from Banu Tamim came repeatedly saying: The prayer! The prayer! Ibn Abbas said: Are you teaching me the Sunnah? May you be motherless! Then he said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) combine Dhuhr and Asr, and Maghrib and Isha.' Abdullah ibn Shaqiq said: 'Something troubled me about that, so I went to Abu Hurayrah and asked him, and he confirmed what Ibn Abbas said.'
