وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ إِمْلَاءً وَأَبُو عَمْرُوعُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ السَّمَّاكِ قَالَا ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ أنبأ مَالِكُ بْنُ مِغْوَلٍ عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ دَفَعْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بِالْأَبْطَحِ وَهُوَ فِي قُبَّةٍ فَخَرَجَ بِلَالٌ فَأَذَنَّ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ وَخَرَجَ وَمَعَهُ إِدَاوَةٌ أَوْ قِرْبَةٌ قَالَ فَلَمَّا رَأَى النَّاسُ وُضُوءَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ تَبَادَرُوهُ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ وَخَرَجَ وَمَعَهُ عَنَزَةٌ فَأَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الظُّهْرَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَالْعَصْرَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ إِلَى عَنَزَةٍ يَمُرُّ مِنْ وَرَائِهَا الْمَرْأَةُ وَالْحِمَارُ
English Translation
Abu Juhayfah said: 'I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) at al-Abtah while he was in a tent. Bilal came out and called the adhan, then went back inside and came out with a water vessel or waterskin. When the people saw the ablution water of the Messenger of Allah, they rushed to get it. Then he went back in and came out with a short spear (anazah) and established the prayer. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) prayed Dhuhr two rak'ahs and Asr two rak'ahs facing the spear, while women and donkeys passed behind it.'
