أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ حَفْصٍ الْمُقْرِئُ ابْنِ الْحَمَامِيِّ بِبَغْدَادَ أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلْمَانَ الْفَقِيهُ ثنا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ثنا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ثنا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ صَلَّيْنَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ الْفَجْرَ بِمِنًى فَجَاءَ رَجُلَانِ حَتَّى وَقَفَا عَلَى رَوَاحِلِهِمَا فَأَمَرَ بِهِمَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَجِيءَ بِهِمَا تَرْعَدُ فَرَائِصُهُمَا فَقَالَ لَهُمَا مَا مَنَعَكُمَا أَنْ تُصَلِّيَا مَعَ النَّاسِ؟ أَلَسْتُمَا مُسْلِمَيْنِ؟ قَالَا بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّا كُنَّا صَلَّيْنَا فِي رِحَالِنَا فَقَالَ لَهُمَا إِذَا صَلَّيْتُمَا فِي رِحَالِكُمَا ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُمَا الْإِمَامَ فَصَلَّيَا مَعَهُ فَإِنَّهُمَا لَكُمَا نَافِلَةٌ
English Translation
Abu al-Hasan Ali ibn Ahmad ibn Umar ibn Hafs al-Muqri ibn al-Hamami informed us in Baghdad, Ahmad ibn Salman al-Faqih informed us, Abd al-Malik ibn Muhammad narrated to us, Wahb ibn Jarir narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us from Ya'la ibn Ata from Jabir ibn Yazid ibn al-Aswad from his father who said: We prayed the Fajr prayer with the Prophet (peace be upon him) at Mina. Two men came and stood by their riding animals. The Prophet (peace be upon him) ordered that they be brought, and they were brought trembling. He said to them: 'What prevented you from praying with the people? Are you not Muslims?' They said: 'Yes, O Messenger of Allah. We had already prayed in our camps.' He said to them: 'If you have prayed in your camps and then come to the imam, pray with him, for it will be a voluntary prayer for you.'
