أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي وَأَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الْمُزَكِّي قَالُوا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا بَحْرُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ قَالَ قُرِئَ عَلَى ابْنِ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَكَ مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي الدِّيلِ يُقَالُ لَهُ بُسْرُ بْنُ مِحْجَنٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ مِحْجَنٍ أَنَّهُ كَانَ جَالِسًا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَأُذِّنَ بِالصَّلَاةِ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَصَلَّى ثُمَّ رَجَعَ وَمِحْجَنٌ فِي مَجْلِسِهِ كَمَا هُوَ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ مَعَ النَّاسِ أَلَسْتَ بِرَجُلٍ مُسْلِمٍ؟ قَالَ بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَلَكِنِّي يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَدْ كُنْتُ صَلَّيْتُ فِي أَهْلِي قَالَ فَإِذَا جِئْتَ فَصَلِّ مَعَ النَّاسِ وَإِنْ كُنْتَ قَدْ صَلَّيْتَ 3639 أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ أنبأ الرَّبِيعُ أنبأ الشَّافِعِيُّ أنبأ مَالِكٌ فَذَكَرَهُ بِمِثْلِهِ
English Translation
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz, Abu Bakr Ahmad ibn al-Hasan al-Qadi, and Abu Zakariyya ibn Abi Ishaq al-Muzakki informed us, they said: Abu al-Abbas Muhammad ibn Ya'qub narrated to us, Bahr ibn Nasr narrated to us. He said: It was read to Ibn Wahb: Malik ibn Anas informed you from Zayd ibn Aslam from a man from Banu al-Dil called Busr ibn Mihjan from his father Mihjan that he was sitting with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) when the call to prayer was made. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) stood and prayed, then returned, and Mihjan was still in his place. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to him: 'What prevented you from praying with the people? Are you not a Muslim man?' He said: 'Indeed, O Messenger of Allah, but I had already prayed with my family.' He said: 'When you come, pray with the people even if you have already prayed.' Abu Zakariyya ibn Abi Ishaq informed us, Abu al-Abbas narrated to us, al-Rabi' informed us, al-Shafi'i informed us, Malik informed us — and he mentioned it similarly.
