English Translation
A man told Imran ibn Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) about a man who swore he would not pray in the mosque of his people. Imran said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: There is no vow in disobedience to Allah, and its expiation is the expiation of an oath. The narrator asked: O Abu Nujayd, our companion is not wealthy, so how should he make expiation? Imran said: If some people went to a governor and he gave each of them a cap, people would say he clothed them. It is also mentioned from Salman that he said: What a fine garment the short trousers (tubban) are.
